Statement

Becoming a  full-time artist now with a background in industrial design, my perception of space, color, and presentation is deeply influenced by my training. Every stroke, every hue, every composition is a deliberate choice, informed by my understanding of design principles. I learned the power of a well designed presentation.  Having constant, stressfull deadllines taught me how to work fast. Sometimes I had a mere fifteen minutes to get to get a potential client to say, "Yes".  I am learning to slow down, maybe just a little!  When painting plein air or in studio, I try to remember this remarkable quote by Alfred Hitchcock, "I don't care what is on the screen, I care what's in the person's mind," This resonates deeply with me. It reflects my belief in the power of art to transcend just technical aesthetics and tap into the viewer's emotions. Through my work, I want to provoke thought, stir those emotions, and ignite interest. Ultimately, my art is now becoming a rcontinueing  journey as a designer and a storyteller. It is a testament to the limitless possibilities of creativity and the profound impact it can have on the human condition.
